Southerness Holiday village by Dumfries



South Southerness Holiday Village is situated in Dumfriesshire on the Solway Firth. It is renowned for its long sandy beaches and is the perfect base to explore the south of Scotland.  However, your own transport is recommended when staying at this site.  Southerness is surrounded by colourful towns and villages and is close to Dumfries, 'Queen of the South', a town rich of history. The 'village' has a range of facilities which is available to guests.  It has a great beach, an old square lighthouse and golf course.  Also close by is Caerlaverock National Nature Reserve.

More about the holiday park

Our timber lodges are comfortable, well equipped, fully accessible for guests with disabilities, and can cater for up to 6 people.  Sterling Scooters are provided for guests, and housed in timber huts which adjoin each lodge.

Our caravans are all non-smoking and no pets allowed.

South 2One-week holidays are available from April to October. However, depending on availability, during April and October only, two-week holidays or weekend breaks may be booked.
